At the Old Town – Orono YMCA, a supportive community is a big part of wellness. At every age and every level of activity, you’ll find people just like you looking to live a little bit healthier. Members and program participants often cite the support and enthusiasm of fellow participants and staff as some of the key factors in their achievement of greater well-being. From group exercise classes to our indoor tracks to workout center to personal training we’ve got something for everyone.
Group Exercise Classes
The Old Town–Orono YMCA provides a wide variety of Group Exercise classes on land and in the pool for the body, spirit and mind. Types of classes offered vary over the course of the year. Land classes include Zumba©, Body Blast, Butts & Guts, Spin and more. Water classes include Aqua Zumba©,Water Conditioning, Deep Water Fitness, Aqua Toning, and among others. All Group Exercise classes are FREE with your membership. Non-members may attend with the purchase of a Day Pass.
The Health and Wellness department manages the Douglas Springer Workout Center. The Workout Center provides members and guests with 3,800 square foot of cardio, free weights, weight machines and open space to do your workout. Use of the Workout Center is part of your membership.

Our personal trainers will schedule time to meet with you, one-on-one, to provide comprehensive fitness programs and create innovative and effective workouts to meet your individual needs.
The Old Town-Orono YMCA is also offering small and large group personal training.
