Our Y is joining other Y’s across the country for Campfire Across America, a one-night gathering centered on connection, with music and smores, outdoor field games, family campfire crafts, family swim, pick-up basketball, raffles and giveaways. On March 6, 1890, interested citizens gathered to adopt and sign the constitution of our YMCA and elected Willis Richardson as our first Board President. From our move to the “Old Y” in the Godfrey homestead on Main Street in 1924 to our relocation to our current home on Stillwater Avenue in 1979, our Y has seen a lot of growth and change but one thing has remained the same: our commitment to strengthening the communities we serve and creating opportunities for everyone to learn, grow, and thrive. Join us as we kick off our 137th year!
