Financial Assistance

At the Old Town Orono YMCA, we believe everyone should have access to our programs and services. Thanks to the generous donors in our community, our financial assistance program ensures that cost is not a barrier. Whether you’re interested in memberships, child care, or other programs, we’re here to support you and your family.

Program Session & Registration Information

We offer six 8-week sessions throughout the year at both locations:

  • Winter Session: January & February
  • Spring 1 Session: March & April
  • Spring 2 Session: May & June
  • Summer Session: July & August
  • Fall 1 Session: September & October
  • Fall 2 Session: November & December

*The schedule for competitive sports like Football, Basketball, Swim Team, Cheer Team, and Gymnastics Team may vary.


Registration Information:
Program registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and payment is due at the time of registration. Some of our programs fill quickly, so be sure to register early! If a program is full, please join the waitlist if you’re interested, and we’ll do our best to make room and reach out if we can get you in.

  • Members: Registration opens at least 2 weeks before the program begins.
  • Guests: Registration opens up to 1 week before the program starts.

Youth Sports

Where kids of all ages and skill levels can learn, play, and grow. Our youth sports programs focus on developing fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. From t-ball, soccer, basketball, and football to archery, tennis, martial arts, and rock climbing, there’s something for every young athlete. Experienced coaches guide and inspire children, helping them build confidence and a lifelong love for sports. Different sports programs are offered based on the season and may vary by location, ensuring a variety of activities year-round.

Swim Lessons

Jump into swim lessons at the Y! Build confidence, learn essential skills, and have fun in a supportive environment. Perfect for all ages and levels.

Swim Team

From young swimmers curious about the sport to high school aged athletes looking to compete in college and beyond, we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where all children reach their full potential in the water and in our community.

Gymnastics at the Old Town-Orono YMCA

Develop strength, balance, and coordination with our gymnastics programs for all ages. Enjoy fun, supportive classes that build confidence and skills.

Toddler Open Play

Bring your little ones to the Y for Toddler Open Play! Throughout the week we open various areas for fun and exploration, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Parent participation is required, making it a perfect bonding activity.
